Project for Calintaan Island

Governor Boboy Hamor, along with Second District Congressman Wowo Fortes and Vice Governor Jun Escudero, recently conducted a public consultation to present a major development project for Calintaan Island.

The consultation aimed to involve the community in the development of Calintaan Island, and residents of Barangays Calintaan and Calayuan were given the opportunity to provide their feedback on the proposed project.

The major development project includes the construction of a coastal road, housing for residents of Calintaan and Calayuan, construction of a twin barangay hall, establishment of a super barangay health center, establishment of a police patrol outpost, and redevelopment of Subic Beach infrastructure.

Governor Hamor and his team presented the project to the residents, who were in awe of the program, and thanked the Governor for consulting them on the proposed development.

“I am committed to involving the community in the development of Calintaan Island,” said Governor Hamor. “This project is not just about building infrastructure, but it is also about improving the lives of the people who call Calintaan Island their home.”

Congressman Fortes also expressed his support for the project, stating that the proposed development would boost the local economy and create more opportunities for the residents of Calintaan and Calayuan.

Vice Governor Jun Escudero also emphasized the importance of community involvement in development projects, stating that the government’s efforts would be in vain without the cooperation of the people.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan members and local officials of Matnog were also present during the public consultation, showing their support for the project and the community’s involvement.

Governor Hamor and his team are grateful for the valuable feedback provided by the residents during the consultation, and they assure the community that their input will be taken into consideration as the project moves forward.
